Best tent for the money, large usable space with smaller footprint
I bought the vagabond 4 carefully. I grew up camping in an expandable series Springbar tent but did not purchase my tent until I had a sleepless night in a higher quality dome tent that was shredded beyond repair in Arches national park. It cost nearly half ($219) what this tent costs and was useless in one night. I carefully selected this tent after evaluating my needs for the next 15 years. It has been 10 years and I now give this tent a five star review. In the fall of 2016 I spent 3 nights and 4 days in the mountains near Mountain Home Idaho for the first time. When we arrived there were 5 other families there and one more still on there way. Someone asked if the could help us set up camp and when the tent came out they asked "is this brand new" I chuckled and said it was almost ten years old and had been to 7 national parks and 7 different national forests and even more wilderness areas. Snow, rain, sleet and hail can no longer ruin my camping experience and the breathability and 6' 6"
Height of this tent makes it far superior to any other as many friends will attest they prefer to change clothes, eat and play games and cards in this tent when the weather turns bad. No need to seek out the car for warmth or dryness. I will use this tent for twenty more years because I take care not to get it muddy with the front porch and canvas tarp under it. It still looks new but it has seen some major storms and not even flinched. I have 3 kinds of stakes for various types of soil, sand and rocks. I have expanded my camping gear in other areas because this tent is like new. I do not walk on it and I carry a small broom in a canvas bag to sweep it out before storing it. I made a great purchase and now really enjoy the indoors as well as the out of doors when camping.

Vagabond 4
I bought my Vagabond 4 in the fall of 2002 and have been in several states with it on hunting trips. I have also loaned it to many family members and friends after they had camped with me in the tent and loved it. It has stood up to thunderstorms when all the tents around me collapsed. I have used it in all seasons and conditions. I love it and when it wears out, I am buying another one. It is far and away the best investment for camping gear I have ever made. Thanks for a great product.
